A Very Special Visit to the Scottish Parliament
Earlier this week, Marie Macklin, Chair of Klin Group, was the guest of Derek Mackay MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Finance and the Constitution, at a very special reception at the Scottish Parliament.
Marie was present when a delegation of kids from the charity, Educate the Kids, visited the parliament at the invitation of the Cabinet Secretary, who supports the charity.
Educate the Kids actively seeks out opportunities to educate the poorest children, those that without help would have no hope and helps them to receive an education in an effort to free them from poverty.
Marie said: “Here in Scotland, education is a given, and rightly so. Yet there are millions of children around the world who don’t get that chance and the work that Educate the Kids does is both remarkable and humbling.”
